Now, I’ve written countless posts (and countless, is 5 or so) on why New Year’s Resolutions Fail and what to do about it instead.

December can help you remember!

Remember who it is that you want to become!

Step #1 You simply need to identify just one area of your life to improve!

This does not need to be anything crazy, but it NEEDS to be consistent! It should be something that you want to improve everyday.

  • Make my bed everyday

  • Have a bulletproof morning routine

  • Don’t eat after 9PM

  • Workout every weekday

  • Make one extra call a day

  • Etc.,

You don’t need to be crazy, but you must be consistent!

What is one area to improve that you do on a daily basis?

Hence, this email goes out a month before 2025 begins to help you remember to plan ahead, get a head start, and guarantee you’ll succeed.

The reasoning is that once you identify one area you want to improve, you significantly improve your chances if you build up a running start!

Pick an actual start date on or after the New Year, but use this month of December to help you remember that it’s just pre-season time and the results don’t matter. Pre-season is the training period! You don’t need to stress, but simply use the training period to instruct.

You can learn from this pre-season about what worked, what didn’t, and what is needed to actually make your new commitment happen!

Use December to Remember that this is pre-season without judgment or recourse, but as a way to get a head start on your new commitment!

It’s not about the SETBACK, it’s about the COMEBACK
