On September 6th and 7th, I’ll be stepping up to one of the toughest mental and physical challenges in running: The Backyard Ultra.

Here’s how it works:

• Every hour, on the hour, I’ll run a 4.167-mile loop.

• The clock resets each hour, and you must be ready to start the next loop on time.

• This continues until there’s only one runner left standing. No finish line. No set distance. You stop only when you can’t go on.

It’s the purest test of perseverance I know, because all you have to do is keep moving!!!

Perseverance isn’t about never feeling tired, doubtful, or beat down—it’s about choosing to start again, loop after loop, hour after hour, when every fiber is telling you to quit.

That’s true in a race, and it’s true in life.

Whether you’re chasing a business goal, rebuilding after a setback, or working through a personal challenge—perseverance is deciding one more loop, one more step forward.
